National Organizations

CITT/ICTS is a national arts service organization that actively promotes the professional development of its members and works for the betterment of the Canadian live performance community. CITT/ICTS provides unique opportunities to its members to communicate, network and expand their knowledge and skills through workshops, conferences, electronic forums, and publications in the areas of technology, management, design, architecture and education for live performance in Canada.

Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT) is a member-driven organization of professional Canadian theatres which serves as the collective voice of its members. For the betterment of Canadian theatre, PACT provides leadership, national representation and a variety of programs and practical assistance to member companies, enabling members to do their own creative work.

SOCAN  (the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada) works to ensure that its member composers, lyricists, songwriters and music publishers are fairly compensated when their music is broadcast or performed in public. SOCAN sells music users access, in the form of licences, to all of the music in its repertoire, which includes the Canadian music assigned by its members. By virtue of reciprocal agreements with performing rights organizations worldwide, SOCAN’s repertoire also includes musical works written by international music creators.
