BC Touring Council remembers George Zukerman, ambassador for Canadian music and the bassoon, who passed away recently. George was said to be one of the few – if not the only solo bassoonist to tour on the international concert circuit.
George launched White Rock Concerts, where he served as the Artistic Director for over 59 years. His lifelong career and contribution to touring and presenting were immense. He was a well-respected mentor and member of the arts community and will be sorely missed. Our condolences to his family, friends and fans. Read more about George here.
