Pacific Contact 2012 is a Wrap!
Congratulations and thanks to all delegates for attending and making the 2012 Pacific Contact such a wonderful event. It was a stellar year. The energy was fantastic in what was an intense 3 days!
I’d like to thank staff and all the volunteers for an amazing job well done. Thanks to our public funding partners, sponsors and advertisers who stepped up to help us meet our funding challenges this year. Thanks to our suppliers and host venues and their staff: the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown, The Shadbolt Centre For The Arts and the Michael J Fox Theatre.
And now save your dates for 2013 and the 37th Annual Pacific Contact April 5-7, 2013 with a pre-conference professional development day on Thursday, April 4th.

Rotary Centre for the Arts
It is with great sadness that I must inform the community of the passing of Tracie Ward, the Executive Director of the Rotary Centre of the Arts on Saturday March 31, 2012. Tracie Ward had been the Executive Director of the RCA since June 2005, only 3 years after the building opened its doors to the public. She has played an integral role in promoting the RCA as a cultural hub in the Okanagan and in developing accessible youth and community programming. Tracie’s view was that, “Art is for everyone. We need to encourage people of all ages and social standing to participate in the Arts to ensure we have future creators and audiences. The Arts allows us to access the world through a unique window that opens our minds to many alternative perspectives”. Tracie leaves behind a rich legacy and her impact on the RCA will be forever felt. She will continue to serve as a source of inspiration for the Arts community. Steve Faigan
