Arts Touring Connector

BCTC has a team member dedicated to supporting Block Booking for our members. This coordinator hosts bi-weekly meetings for Presenters to share information, pitch artists and coordinate tours. To facilitate this process Presenter members have access to the Arts Touring Connector (ATC), an online booking module that facilitates block booking. The idea is for presenters to work cooperatively to book more artists in communities throughout the province. In addition to regular meetings, presenters receive support and training from our block booking coordinator.

Directories

Membership includes listing in online directories featuring presenters and venues.

New this year will be the return of a dynamic online artist directory that will be searchable by discipline/genre, location and other key words.

Network / Meetings

These gatherings offer an opportunity to share resources, to exchange information, to build relationships and to learn from  other colleagues.

When possible, BCTC’s board and staff travel to regions of the province to host meetings with members.

The BC Touring Council’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held to report on the activities of the society. Members are invited to attend to vote on BCTC business.

BCTC also hosts an online speaker series featuring guests from the arts and culture sector who engage in fascinating conversations about various topics affecting and influencing our sector.

Advocacy

BCTC is active in an alliance of networks in BC and across Canada that advocates on behalf of the sector and of its members.
