Why Do Delegates Come to Pacific Contact?
Presenters come to Pacific Contact to book performances for their communities, organizations, schools, festivals and facilities. They come to the showcases at Pacific Contact to experience artists “live – on stage”. They get to see who is in the marketplace and the level of artistry available for touring. Artists, Agents and Managers come to sell their shows and book tours and to network with colleagues. Everyone comes for professional development, workshops, networking opportunities, hospitality, special meetings, presentations – and fun!
Showcases at Pacific Contact
Juried showcases are 15 minutes long at Pacific Contact. Music, Dance, Theatre and Variety acts are showcased for delegates who book for both adult and family audiences. There are approximately 26 juried showcases.
In addition to juried showcases there are 12 to 18 – 5 minute Pitch & Peform performances in the hotel on a first come basis over the 3 days of Pacific Contact for artists/agents registered delegates who are not chosen from the juried showcases. These opportunities are on a first-come, first-served basis once registered as a ‘contact room delegate’. See: http://bctouring.org/pacific-contact/contact-information
