BC Presenter Resilience Program

The BC Touring Council in partnership with the Province of BC and the BC Arts Council is pleased to announce a one-time resilience supplement for presenters who have received at least one Community Presenter Assistance grant in the last 3 years and who have not received an Arts and Culture Resilience Supplement from the BC Arts Council.

The Presenters: Resilience Program is intended to support key and community presenters in BC to:

  • Adapt and/or diversify current presenting or programming activity to respond to changes in the arts and culture sector; or 
  • support capacity within the organization.

Awards of up to $5,000 are available.

The program has been developed in partnership with the BC Arts Council as a one-time funding opportunity in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Awards are available to support:

  • Activities related to presenting or programming activities to assist with new presentation expenses related to recent impacts. These activities may include but are not limited to: 
    • exploring new technologies, offsetting costs associated with live streaming or videography, or purchasing equipment 
    • developing alternate production/presentation/distribution strategies 
    • training of staff/volunteers or acquiring new skills, and/or developing new relationships relevant to your project
    • covering artist fees beyond what is covered under the CPA program for shows outside of a season or series (i.e. unplanned one-off performances or presenting local talent)
  • Activities related to supporting organizational capacity related to recent impacts. These activities may include but are not limited to: 
    • community outreach or artist engagement activities to envision new ways to operate
    • board development and capacity building 
    • volunteer services including recruitment, retention, awards
    • audience/patron services including surveys, communication strategies
