Assuring our Success

Responding to the needs expressed by 45 BC Presenting Organizations, we’ll explore successful new methods from other Canadian and U.S. presenting organizations. You’ll then create a viable workplan to increase audience/community engagement, earned/contributed revenues and envision alternate futures.

Who is this day designed for?: Those in Executive, Marketing, Box Office, Front of House, Fundraising and other positions in presenting organizations as well as small, volunteer-run presenters.

Jerry Yoshitomi
Throughout his career, Jerry has contributed to modest initiatives that have resulted in nationally and internationally significant innovations, field impact and increased revenues. He believes in the power of performing arts to change people’s lives and the small and large communities in which they live. Methods from his writings/workshops have been successfully implemented by several thousand arts organizations and artists in Canada, Australia, the U.S. & U.K., Spain and Chile. He is particularly inspired by work of Performing Arts Presenters in BC and the Yukon.

John McLachlan
John McLachlan is the coordinator of the Community Presenters Assistance program and is a freelance graphic designer working with arts-related clients in Canada. He brings his experience as a touring singer/songwriter and time spent as executive director at BC Touring Council and Creative City Network of Canada to his current pursuits.
