All Ages Bumbershoot Theatre is a charitable children’s theatre company dedicated to introducing youth and children to the incomparable magic of theatre. Their aim is to stimulate and liberate the imagination, the intellect and the spirit through creative theatre experiences, and promote theatre as an integral part of the learning process. Tracy Ross started Bumbershoot in 2009.
Since starting the non-profit theatre company, she has transformed a small theatre group into an award-winning team. Now producing 7 main stage performances each year for children and families, inspiring youth through theatre workshops and classes, a Young Performers program, and partnership with local schools, Tracy continues to find innovative ways to bring theatre magic to kids. Continuously inspired by the youth that she works with, Tracy strives to cultivate local talent, to empower kids to learn and grow, and to connect Bumbershoot with the Kelowna community.
Tracy likes to work with youth to facilitate their ideas and has created Doorstep Sound to have under 19 live music performances. The theatre space is transformable for engaging new ideas and emerging artists.
The capacity for events is anywhere from 65-100 people.
This community driven, self funded collective meets on a weekly basis to make decisions about bookings, operations, and rentals.
