General Description: Millennium Place is Whistler’s hub for arts, culture, and inspiration. The Whistler Arts Council took over operations of Millennium Place in June 2010 as the two organizations merged to become one enhanced society. Millennium Place is an active meeting place to celebrate visual, media and performing arts, mountain life; to inspire thought, provoke conversation and share a sense of community. The building is home to a 250-seat proscenium theatre, rotating art exhibitions in the Scotia Creek Gallery, the Whistler Youth Centre, multi-purpose and meeting rooms, and technical services. Programs in the MY Place attract 50,000 visitors annually.
