Email → Miriam
Miriam’s career spans the arts in both the UK and Canada, including Arts Council England and Banff Centre. Banff Centre’s policy of putting the artist first continues to drive Miriam to support artists and the creation of new work.
In her role as Artistic and Executive Director of Arts Revelstoke Miriam has created new and innovative programs including the highly successful Guerrilla Gigs and multidisciplinary arts festival LUNA. Her work is focused on developing meaningful relationships with a variety of partners, programming diverse work, engaging new audiences and helping to develop the careers of local artists.
Miriam is very excited by this opportunity to work for BCTC advocating for artists, agents and presenters provincially and nationally. As the performing arts sector emerges from the Covid pandemic, she is looking forward to supporting the very best live performance experiences that British Columbia has to offer.
In her spare time Miriam enjoys spending time with her two young children. She loves the mountains and gets out in them as often as she can skate skiing, mountain biking, as well as hiking and paddling trips with friends and family.
